I quietly raise her arm above our heads and declare her: ”The Champion!”
How adorable is that. May you be inspired to do something adorable for your loved ones today. If you are all alone and lonesome, I’m sorry ;(, but may you be inspired to do something adorable for YOURSELF today.
You know, many of us had parents who said that we should have jobs that we can tolerate, or even jobs that are horrible in order to build character. That’s alright. They just didn’t know. Here are some words of advice from a man who knows. And if you didn’t get that advice from your parents, you can pretend Gene Siskel is talking to you:
I want you girls to know, that the one thing that hasn’t been mentioned is that we found a job that we love. And I hope that the work that you do, the work that you choose, that you will take a very quick inventory of it and decide, “Do I love this? Can I love this?” And I don’t mean “like a lot” I mean passionately love; that you would hate having it taken away from you. That’s a very good test.
And, in a few years I hope you’ll remember this and tell your younger brother what I said. I’d appreciate that very, very much.
This really gave me an Aha! moment. Ok, several aha moments.
Every weight issue is really a power issue.
Your body is not what you want it to be. At heart, you feel that this is beyond your control. Thintuition is about returning power and control back to you.
You become the boss of your own body.
With each successful diet, you may feel you are finally coming to grips with your weight. In the short term, you feel empowered. The burst of confidence lasts until the first few pounds come back; usually in a matter of days or weeks, and your self-esteem plummets.
Then, you look for the next best diet, and start the whole process over again. To break this miserable cycle for good, you first need to realize that you never were, and you never will be empowered by dieting.
Dieting only gave you the temporary illusion of power while you were losing weight. You had given your power away to the diet. In exchange, the diet gave you what you wanted, for awhile. But the moment you stopped obeying, it retaliated with excess pounds. The reason has nothing to do with the particulars of the diet.
The root of the problem is giving away your power. Period. When you overeat, you give away your power to food. When you diet, you give away your power to external authorities who tell you what, when, and how much to eat. Either way, what’s missing from this picture is you.
Your body knows what, when, and how much it needs to eat. And your body is you.
When you let your body be the boss, you have taken back control. That’s power. The first step is to STOP dieting, and to start following your thintuition.

What impacted me the most when I saw this was hearing that, “The root of the problem is giving away your power.” ! What? That’s the root of the problem? … Hey, that is the root of the problem!
I said that phrase to myself a few times and then turned it around. If that’s the root of the problem, then: The root of the solution is accepting my power.
The root of the solution is accepting my power.
The root of the solution is acknowledging my power.

Lyrics
Will somebody wear me to the fair?
Will a lady pin me in her hair?
Will a child find me by a stream?
Kiss my petals and weave me through a dream
For all of these simple things and much more a flower was born
It blooms to spread love and joy faith and hope to people forlorn
