This is the angry anti-fan mail I sent them:

I think its DISGUSTING that you all had Jason break up with Melissa on TV. Its understandable that he changes his mind. What is not ok is that the people in charge of creating The Bachelor had him break up with her on television. That is so sick. I think it was weak and crappy of him as well, but if it was just him I’d continue watching. As it is:

I’d really like to watch Jillian’s journey. I think she is awesome, but I am through with all of you who have created The Bachelor. I’ll watch something else from now on.

(Unless you issue a public apology to Melissa and all the viewers who unintentionally watched that, declare your policy to never humiliate anyone like that again, and give Melissa a big bucketful of money. While you are at it, please apologize for the mean trick you pulled earlier in the season when you had people vote someone off and then TOLD everyone who was most disliked! That was SO mean. Face it, that was mean. Don’t defend yourself. Take responsibility.)

Grr… I just had to share with all of you. I confess: I hate that I will have to stop watching. I have so few out and out vices! (I have many passive vices.) I’m going to have to find a substitute vice now.

(Its like Obama and smoking. I mean, the man can only be so perfect, right?)

Wow, I only watched it because it was the first show when I clicked on Hulu (where you can legally watch online TV and movies for free.) I thought I wasn’t a fan of Conan, but I’m at least a temporary fan after watching the final episode. I LOVE love love the old fashioned baseball bit.

My favorite were the sentimental goodbyes. I like hearing how much work and collaboration really go into a show. And I liked hearing how grateful Conan is to people. I can relate to him when he’s thanking people. I love that his brother watched every show.

My other favorite, that he didn’t show, is from back in the day when I actually used to be up late and watch the show. I tried to find it for you, but I could not. It’s just Mr. T laughing and he has a really high pitched infectious giggle.

I think it’s better to be mentally focused on working out when you work out. Doing something else to distract yourself from working out reminds me of taking vocabulary courses instead of reading books. When you do that, you are missing the experience of the activity, to get to the side effect.

Of course, It is helpful to have a good vocabulary and it will probably increase your life to exercise regularly, but it is fun to read books and it is fun to be in your body. While you are here, you might as well get the full richness of life if you can.

I guess my low self-discipline in this area has turned out to be a benefit. There is no way I would force feed myself exercise while tuning my mind out. I want to get really connected with where my body is at and notice it even more. I hope you’ll try it. It is the difference between reading a great novel that you are totally absorbed in, and getting 5 vocabulary words a day to memorize.

For me, I get bored if I’m just trying to “get through” something. Enjoyable exercising for me could not include reading, watching tv or any other distraction, because enjoyable exercise for me is really getting in touch with my body.

When I first start a work out, it is hard to imagine that I will want to notice my body more, because  working out is so hard that I want to transcend, not be more in, my body. However, I highly reccomend trying the “be in your body” approach. I think that is one of the MAIN benefits of exercise. NIA is one exercise that is a good way for me to enjoy being in my body, and you can start enjoying your body while doing NIA at ANY level. Running does that for me too, but it takes more fitness for me to feel good while running.
