Roger Ebert
I love Roger Ebert.
(Roger Ebert has a new picture up on his site. He’s older, wiser, been through cancer. He has a kind and insightful look on his face.)
I had to say it here because, I love Roger Ebert and pobably he is going to die before I do, and when he does, I know that I will be sad and I will say, “I loved Roger Ebert! Why didn’t I tell him before it was too late?!”
Note to self:
A: You don’t know Roger Ebert. That is why you haven’t told him how much you care and hope he lives a long and healthy life with his family and friends, how much you appreciate his humane reviews, how much you enjoy reading his low star reviews of movies you will never see and how much you enjoy reading his four star reviews after you see a movie to compare notes. Here is a reviewer you can trust- out in the world reviewing movies. . .It’s not due to thoughtlessness. YOU DON’T KNOW HIM. Stop feeling bad about not letting him know how much you appreciate him!
B: Now you’ve said it, feel better? Can go to bed now? Good
ps: Watched Lost in Translation for the first time tonight. Loved it, checked out his review, he loved it too. ;) (Highly recommend it and pps: read his review AFTER you watch it, much better that way.)
